Homeless Women's Shelters
Some homeless shelters only accept single women and/or women with children. Below is a list of
some of the homeless women's shelters in Las Vegas. Some of them also admit men but they are housed separately from
women and women with children.
Safe Nest (Temporary Assistance for Domestic Crisis) TADC Emergency Shelter

Safe Nest is an emergency shelter that operates a 24-hour hotline 7 days a week to victims of
domestic violence and their children. This shelter is for women and children. The hotline is staffed by crisis
counselors. The shelter provides:
food and supportive services for an 8 - 10 week period,
individual and group support and counseling,
an advocacy program focusing on legal,
medical and social needs,
children's services including advocacy,
play therapy and recreational activities,
emergency protective orders.
Also offers shelter for family pets.
The Shade Tree
Day Shelter and Emergency Shelter for Women and Women with Children

The Shade Tree Day Shelter is a 36 bed shelter that provides a safe place for women or women
with children to spend the day. Women who work nights are allowed to sleep during the day. Daytime bed rest is also
available for the medically needy. Services that are free of charge include:
The Shade Tree Emergency Shelter provides 164 beds for stays from 30 to 90 days. Everyone begins
with a 30 day stay limitation. Extensions are granted depending upon the actions of the client. All shelter clients
meet with a Client Advocate on a weekly basis and a multi disciplinary team meets weekly to review each clients
case and to determine progress being made. Shelter is available year around.
Las Vegas Rescue Mission

Las Vegas Rescue Mission has an emergency shelter program for women and women with children.
Single women and women with children can signup for women's shelter at 5:00 PM daily. Currently there is a limit of
7 days stay and a person must leave the shelter from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. There are only 2 rooms available for
parents with children and male & females are housed in separate shelters.
